Invitation

Ready for Round Two?
Two years ago, we made history with Europe's first Molecular Life Sciences Education and Training Conference; FEBS ETC 2024. The response was overwhelming, the connections were real, and we had promised we'd be back in two years… and here we are:
March 25-29, 2026 | Kuşadası, Türkiye
FEBS Education and Training Conference 2026

This isn't just another conference. It's where fresh ideas meet real experience, where "I've been wondering about that too!" happens in every hallway, and where you'll leave with practical tools you can use Monday morning.
What to expect:
  • Awesome plenaries that'll shift how you think
  • Certified FEBS Academy workshops that dive deep into what matters
  • Hands-on education workshops where you'll actually do the thing
  • Short talks & posters to share what works (and what doesn’t)
  • ...and our brand-new
  • "Debate of the Day" feature (yes, things might get heated, though in the best way).
But here's what really makes this special: the community. Last time, educators and trainers from across the globe gathered to share, learn, and genuinely connect. The conversations that started in workshop rooms continued over Turkish coffee, turned into collaborations, and honestly? Some of us are still talking.
Whether you've been teaching for decades or you're just stepping into education, there's a spot here with your name on it.
The sun's waiting. The community's waiting. Your next breakthrough idea? It's waiting too.
Warmly,

P.S. - Yes, the food is still incredible.

Just 5 km from the venue, the town center offers shopping, seaside walks, and local dining options. The marina area serves as a lively hub for dining and social gatherings, while local markets provide a glimpse into everyday life. Kuşadası is also a gateway to several important cultural and historical landmarks, including Ephesus, the House of the Virgin Mary, the Temple of Artemis, and Şirince Village, all located within 30–40 minutes by car.

Ephesus Ancient City
Ephesus Ancient City

Ephesus Ancient City

Located just a short drive from Kuşadası, Ephesus is one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once a thriving port city of the Roman Empire, it is now home to impressive ruins such as the grand amphitheater, the Library of Celsus, and the Temple of Hadrian. Walking through its marble-paved streets offers a vivid sense of ancient urban life that existed more than 2,000 years ago. Guided tours are available on-site, and visits typically take two to three hours — making it an ideal half-day excursion during the congress.

House of Virgin Mary

House of Virgin Mary

Located on Mount Koressos near Ephesus, the House of the Virgin Mary is believed to be the final residence of Mary, mother of Jesus. The site holds deep religious significance for both Christians and Muslims, and it continues to be a place of pilgrimage and reflection.

Surrounded by pine forests and tranquil nature, it offers a peaceful atmosphere distinct from the bustling coastal areas. The site includes a small chapel, wishing wall, and a natural spring, all accessible by car in about 30–40 minutes from Kuşadası.

Şirince Village

Şirince Village

About 8 km from Selçuk and roughly a 30–40 minute drive from Kuşadası, Şirince is a small hillside village known for its preserved architecture and peaceful atmosphere. The village is famous for its whitewashed stone houses with red-tiled roofs, winding cobblestone streets, and locally produced fruit wines. Once a Greek settlement, Şirince retains much of its historical texture while offering visitors a taste of rural Aegean life. Today, many of the traditional houses have been restored into small guesthouses, cafés, and craft shops. Visitors can spend a relaxed afternoon walking through the narrow alleys, sampling local wines, and enjoying homemade Aegean dishes. The village’s quiet charm and authenticity make it a pleasant cultural break during the congress period — ideal for a short visit combined with Ephesus or the House of the Virgin Mary.
